Minnesota Retractor

The Cawood-Minnesota Cheek Retractor is used to hold mucoperiosteal flaps, cheeks, lips and tongue away from the surgical area. It has a total length of 16cm (5.9″) and width of 20mm. It is the same design as the University of Minnesota Retractor, with longer handle end.

The Cawood-Minnesota Cheek Retractor offers a wide range of surgical benefits. Its principal use is to provide maximum exposure of the oral cavity and atraumatic manipulation of its contents. This cheek Retractor features a double-ended design suitable to manipulate different anatomical structures. For example, the bayonet-shaped end has the ideal outline to press down the tongue. On the other hand, the curved end ensures safe retraction of cheeks, lips and mucoperiosteal flaps.

The Cawood-Minnesota Cheek Retractor’s blades have a blunt-edged design, that are helpful to prevent mucosal tearing. Ergonomic smooth handle design provides stability and prevents slippage.
